Testing of mobile collective chemical protection tents of the Swiss armed forces:
- Penetration of the warfare agent through the shell
- Protective performance of filters
- Ventilation performance (air volume, gauge pressure, routeing of air flow, etc.)
Testing of NBC protection capabilities of tanks:
Ventilation performance and protection factor (air volume, gauge pressure, cexternal/cinternal) according to various operating conditions and manipulations.
Testing of adsorption filters for/in ambient air equipment:
Testing of momentary filtration efficiency of adsorption filters (elements) from/for ambient air using tracers such as toluene.
(New tests, also in certain circumstances periodic monitoring of waste air from special laboratory unit hoods)
Where necessary, the instruments and specialist knowledge of the Collective Protection Group can also be used to assess entire military and civilian protective ventilation systems.
